Shadowmage is the ultimate omniviewing anime fan, one who is able to enjoy any genre out there so long as it's of merit. That's led him to consume loads of series and also instilled a desire to share his opinions on all the shows he's seen.

Eventually, this would be the driver in getting him to join the Nihon Review in February 2007 (that, and Sorrow-kun's persuasive ways). He would go on to be one of the Nihon Review's most prolific reviewers, writing over 50 reviews for the site and covering a lot of the gaps in the site's coverage of mecha anime and sci-fi thrillers.
