Long Love Letter
« on: May 08, 2007, 09:49:21 PM »
circa 2002

Anyone ever seen this? I saw a few episodes intermittently while my sister watched the whole series. It was not too good, based on what I've seen. Though I do not have much say because I did not see the entirety of the show, I don't like the ending. The series was plagued by lots of ridiculous moments, most of which I laughed quite hard and literally, went "Ha ha, what the hell?" (+shrug +head shake +frown +scoff).

My biggest issue is how they dealt with the "story's morals." This was especially disturbing when they, the narrators and characters, were explicit. A story loses a lot of meaning when you pigeonhole it, erasing all other possible interpretations. The ranting about living life to the fullest and all that is mellow, happy stuff but its delivery just squashes it--total cheese.

Dang, where's the Summer Snow goodness? I need to find some of that.

Nah, I haven't seen this... and now I definitely won't.  So many shows do the "meaningful" rant.  It really gets old really fast.  Bleh, no reason to waste my time on a show that can't even do it well.  XD

(Thanks for the heads up).
