Movie Remakes, which just didn't make the cut
« on: October 23, 2006, 04:20:05 PM »
hey, while i was watching a documentary about the Amityville horror. It got me thinking about movie remakes (seeing how there have been several movies regarding the amityville horror). Instead of thinking of remakes which managed to surpass the original, I would like you to think of movie remakes which did the original no justice (which should be quite easy  :)  )

Well for me, onw remake come to mind. I'll add more when its not so late at night

Texas Chainsaw Massacre- I just didn't like the new version of this horror movie. While it does leatherface quite well, in my opinion it doesn't have the creepy and uneasiness of the original which it made it good.

Thanks to DarkKanti for the Sig!

Last remake I remember watching was The Omen. The first one sucked and the second was even worse. The thing about scary movies is that they aren't scary. They're retarded. Like downs kids.

As far as I am concerned, movie remakes in general don't really tend to "make the cut." Ones that are better than the original are the ones that are more the exception, not ones that are inferior.

So there.

^ pretty much true, better question would be which movie surpasses the original.

^The Omen was just eye-candy, for heaven's sake. I snoozed thru nearly half of that garbage.
