How long is too long?
« Reply #15 on: January 28, 2006, 08:32:11 AM »
I see. We have different definitions of what "filler" is. Some episodes in RahXephon (Asahina's episode, for example) may seem like "filler" because it does not necessary further the plot; however, it develops the characters. That's not what I see as "filler."

It's also a matter of opinion, unfortunately, whether or not one feels that filler is a necessity (in terms of my definition, in this case, I think it is an evil). I don't need "breaks" inbetween serious episodes, I just want to get through it--that's more exciting, more interesting, than "beating around the bush," wasting time.

all depends on quality of the storyline
case & point:  an anime with a good storyline can last forever in my opinion

Those who think
they know everything
annoy those of us who do.
