Thread expiry issue
« on: December 04, 2005, 12:52:36 PM »
I just want to bring this thought up.

You know that we're attempting to gain more members, right? Well what happens when they join?, when they go into the individual forums they see only a handful of threads. This isn't a rant on how there should be more threads, its more how old threads go away after a peroid of inactivity. This in my opinion leaves the forums threadbare.

So my idea is to disable the thread expiry, i.e keep it always visible to the member instead of the default time (2 months I believe). If you do this, the forums will look bigger (as all the threads will remain visble)., which is very important for attracting members for but also more importantly for keeping them here.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, as it just came right out of my head. What do you think?

PS. I just noticed, a new member! Post Often Rove!

Yes, that's a good idea. Pheld needs to handle that, though...don't know if it's going to happen for a while.

Erm, I didn't change your password. The admin password is different for each individual user in vB. Now if you're talking the Bluehost CPanel, then all I did was change the user name. And you quit anyway.
