I'll be here for Mafuya.
I love the way she enters the frame to look at the Manager's picture.

that ass slap had quite the visceral and "full" sound.

The tsundere Monster Hunter scene was masterful. At first/ I was taken by how the shop's forced, and conflicting, typecasting are causing stress for the employees, but then, the show goes next level, fully embraces the concept, and Honaka captures both the essence of her job and a genuine tsundere. It was impressive.

It was genuinely enjoyable and maintained my interest. I'm more likely to finish this series than Konohana Kitan. Which really is a shame cause this show looks like every other show and that Kitan at least was pretty and I this makes me part of the problem.

Effusive. Surfeit. For such a vapid comedy this show is great SAT prep.

I have't seen anything DDR in a good decade. Plus, the main melody of the song that played during teh arcade scene was the same as the Chrome Shelled Regios' OP. Never forget.

Fortunately, that was a lot less stupid than I thought it would be.  Unfortunately, it isn't as stupid as I would like it to be.

It sort of ends up being a light Working! with a bit more otaku fanwank, but it doesn't go far enough with the fanservice or the wanking to be considered trash.  It is almost like they want to ride a line, and riding a line usually puts out a mediocre product.  I suppose it could go the Hinako Note route, say "**** it", and eventually just go gratuitous with fanservice shots while maintaining the same droll plot, but I don't know.  We have one character with the scandalous body type, while everybody else seems highly pedestrian.  Cute, don't get me wrong, but pedestrian.

I was expecting trash and I got recyclables.  Meh.

There is zero to talk about here.  It is your standard CGDCT show in a workplace with hijinks.  It is amusing, but not spectacularly funny.  I find it somewhat odd this is the A-1 pictures show this season.

Mafuyu in a monkey suite is way cuter than Maika. And her little sister act.

The tale of a grown-ass man attempting to court his under-aged subordinate. Truly the makings of something great.

4:

I am curious to see if they'll actually push the Manager+Maika couple.

5:

Some more casual shipping

I'm still waiting on Other Girl to be introduced.

6:

The show has pretty much become a gag rom-com at this point. I guess it sorta always was but as of episode 4 it became very apparent. Most of the cast is fading into the background as the Manager+Maika story-line is given more and more focus.

7:

I mean, while it was for the sake of a gag, the Manager literally being arrested for perving on Maika forces the viewer to address the very real implications of the show's main story-line. The humour should probably remain more light.

Mafuyu still manages some great moments and offers great faces while in the background.

The Dino/Maika dynamic just doesn't work for me. Episodes focusing on them are made of cringe instead of funny. The only thing worse was the Hideri episode, but they seem to have gotten that out of their system and only use him sparingly. Otherwise, when they focus on the other cast members it's mildly amusing. Though we did get this gem of a meme out of it, so it's not all bad.

Dino is a disgrace to all white males. Especially blond Italians.

The Manager getting saddled with a dog cause of a vague resemblance said dog shares with his love interest is kinda funny.
Maika may be the first character since Inu x Boku SS' Ririchiyo to pull off my most dreaded "Miko Cut".

This episode was genuinely enjoyable and I actually kind-of bought into the Manager x Maika narrative.
It even closed on some fat shaming, which I can really get behind.

10:

I feel as though that guy in the intro scene ought have been arrested the instant he asked Mafuyu out. Like, sure, Mafuya is canonically 20-ish years old and has the resulting mental development, but come on. Honey and Clover has this with Hagu. Hagu genuinely looks like a prepubescent girl. The Main Guy falls for her at first sight. Meaning, the Main Guy instantaneously fell in love with a character he understood to be a literal child. Well, it is infinitely worse here since the only context this Guy had was of Mafuyu actually acted the part of a child.

A cute little character episode that wasn't about Manager x Maika. Though I do wish the focus was exclusively on the "Mafuyu guides the development of the younger Kaho". The makeup scene, while amusing, really broke immersion regarding what was becoming a heartfelt story which served to both inform and develop existing characters. It is such poor decisions which distinguish a 6/10 from an 8/10.

11:

Do they make Beef Jerky for dogs? Is that a thing?
I gotta say, I'm liking the Akizuki x Kaho. Despite being just as off putting, she is like 16 and he is atleast 20, they've got some chemistry.
Another functional episode.

12:

What was even the point of Doujinshi-chan? Outside of her introductory episode she quite literally had zero screentime.
I will say, a few shots in this episode made me want for a snowboarding anime.
I love how  the entire cast is just looking on with expecting eyes as this grown man goes to confirm this predatory relationship.
A Kaho ass slap. We have come full circle(ep 1). How poetic
Awww, turns out Kaho and Akizuki were made for one another.

Ep 10 was certainly the highlight. Even if they botched what it could have been, what it was still managed to be endearing. Much like Dive!!! and Kabuki-bu, ep 10 had the component parts necessary for greatness but simply failed to properly execute them.
Overall, solid way to kill some time.
6/10

yeah, this is 6/10 material. Dino really drags it down, though (most) of the supporting cast lifts it just out of mediocrity. I guess they were trying to go for the lovable klutz angle with Dino, but he just came off as creepy and a rank idiot. Akizuki and Kaho were a more believable pair, they had common interests and didn't act like complete clowns around each other. Mafuyu was definitely the standout character, and I agree that episode 10 was easily the best. because Dino was pushed to the background.

Amusing enough, but falls short of good.
