Aho Girl
« on: July 12, 2017, 07:45:26 AM »
1 & 2
The first thing I notice the cute Op was performed Angela. I thought Angela was into electronic hip hop dance.

The comedy are rather clique and predictable. Why it works because it moves at a fast that it doesn't give you anything time to think that it's lame. It's like a runaway train. The other reason is that the male MC is set up as the 'straight man'. But he himself is part of the comedy duo. And the 2 main VAs performed like a rapid fire cross talk comedy.  Tomokazu Sugita, the VA for the male MC, does come out like Gintoki in Gintama. And like in Gintama, Gintoki is often the failed 'straight man'.

It's like squeezing 4 episodes in 15 minutes. And it's fun enough for me to come back.

I saw the first 2 episodes and I tend agree, it's pretty standard, but it's fast enough to get the chortle and then move on before your mind catches up and goes 'that was lame'. That' probably why I thought the first half of the first episode was pretty meh, it felt a little slower than the rest and I had time to catch up to that 'meh' moment.

We'll see how it goes, if it can keep up the pace then it'll probably be alright. 12 minutes seems to be about the right amount of time for it, any longer and I don't think it would work.

1-3:

Well... she's consistent.  You pretty much know what you're going to get from Yoshiko.

But the biggest swerve of all was mom.  She seemed so... normal.  Like, how did this thing happen to come out of her sex hole.  Then like... well... now we know.  The apple, the tree, falling, and all that.  I... I want to know what she and her husband do at night.  I do.  I really do.

I'm watching, but I'm not happy. As a rule, mean-spirited comedy is not my thing.

Meh.  After a while, you realize that Yoshiko is a cartoon character who can't be hurt by anything.

Yoshiko's mom is sexually aggressive. Or just aggressive.

I think, if I watched more than 2 episodes of this back to back, I would go a bit crazy.

Obasan in her full power. When she's psycho, she starts to look like Yoshiko. Morals chairman is pretty Aho herself. Poor Ruri.

Anyone ever play Ken and Barbie like Yoshiko?

Banana powered dog beats a motorcycle.  Nice to see FCLC type manga panel animation.

Nice OP. The back of the body pillow was unexpected.

12 (Final):

The apes will side with Yoshiko.
The romantics will side with Iincho.
The normal people will love Sayaka.
But only prisoners of war and victims of torture can ever appreciate poor Akkun's strife.

The poor poor man.

This is an 8 / 10 by the way.  Legit funny and not long enough to kill any running gags.

That spoiler is better than Netsuzou Trap's way of lesbianism through rape.
