Doesn't go for the overt foodgasm thing ala Shokugeki or Koufuku Graffiti, nor does the cooking itself get much attention. Seems like the focus is on the restaurant itself; odd choice, but I'll bite.

Mildly enjoyable. Don't see my interest persisting for the entirety of this show's run.

It's too feel good. So people from other world drop in and loves our food. But there is no 'plot' yet. A comedy can go plot less if it's funny enough. But it need a plot after 'orientating' us to the restaurant.

And try not to watch on an empty stomach. Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars) are over the top. But the food done here are typical Japanese Western comfort food which I can get from a Wagnaria type restaurant.

It's just people feel good after eating a Japanese style western meal. So far, no plot, no reason for the action.

Demons and otherworldly beings fanboying over otherwise decent food. And those people include Goldilocks herself. Eh, doesn't get more straightforward than this.

Staying put.

3. It's okay. Feel good show. No plot is gonna happen probably. I dunno but i guess i like these "boring" shows haha.

Maybe just more characterization on the main duo please?

...is food from non-Earth realms that bad? I feel bad for taking Earth-realm food for granted.

But I like how every humanoid that has entered Neko-ya is a good customer. Why don't we have more of them.

From the description I had thought this show was going to feature a bunch of fantasy characters from different worlds/cultures gabbing like in The Draco Tavern, with lots of semi-inebriated discussions/debates about the meaning of life, etc.

Nope, just the food.

I never understood these food shows.  Apparently there must be an audience for them.

4. Yeah i must agree with Huusker on this episode especially. I kinda don't get gushing over animated food... And was kinda hoping for a bit more than just food. The lizardman thing was slightly amusing though but still...

Also the food is supremely mundane food which is feels weird to have the show gush over cause i can make most of the foods here myself and/or am aware how it tastes like. You know Omurice is fine and dandy but god damn it give me a break it's not that amazing:D Even though they are from the otherworld its still hard to be excited about the food here. What is gonna be next? Oyakodon? Salisbury steak? God damn it i was eating myself at the same time and felt better about my food than the food in the show:D I should cater this show instead of the chef:D

It's Katsudon.
I'm started to see a pattern. It's just short stories that revolves around food. And how they view food, and how food save them. It's more like having a good meal will motivate you.

Wait, how does the chef communicate to all his guests when he doesn't even write their language?

It amazes me what good food copywriters these customers would make.

And I can't wait for the next episode. CURRY RICE!

I got a feeling that the restaurant is on this dimension. The door is a form of dimension doorway. A society that don't know steaming? How did the demon world ever advance?

Rainbow dragons. Some kind of magical Sentai Dragon Rangers? New cute waitress is a death dragon? Only the old wizard know.

BTY, the 'many eye tentacle evil being' looks like Azathoth. In the Cuthulu mythos, Azathoth is the great grand father of Cthulhu.
