Densha Otoko! [The Train Man]

Densha Otoko
(Train Man)
Japanese Live Action

This new series, fresh from Japan, is about an otaku who falls heads over heels for an attractive woman. It's got a great sense of humor and some cool camera action and special effects. I had a blast watching just the first episode, seeing as to how incredibly accurate it is in terms of how a stereotypical otaku acts. Though the lead role overreacts and responds to his encounters like a 12-year-old, he's got that quirkiness that a lot of us otakus have. For the most part, I laughed at all the silly otaku-like behavior (personally I've never gone that far), but some of it is very much like how I used to be. I highly recommend this series, especially for our fellow otakus. Be warned, though, the show tends to exaggerate. Some may find this tolerable, while others will think it's flat-out ridiculous.

You can find it on HongFire's torrents, have fun!

(I don't think we should forbid filesharing talk anymore. Sometimes, it's the ONLY way to let our members know where to find this stuff.)

Also, I think Live Action should have its own forum.......

The times when he's getting advice from the people on 2ch are the best moments of the show.
