It's actually from the Director of Genshiken & Squid Girl, with the writer from K-On!.

It's actually a Tank Otaku series.  They're very, very nerdy on the tank aspect.  Why it doesn't suck is that the cute girls are there as a means, not an end.   From there, it's pretty much a sports series with the genders flipped, thus mostly eliminating romantic dynamics and GARRR!!! expectations.  (It's trading one set of genre trappings for another)

This is actually pretty good.
I also didn't know that tank Otaku(what's the plural form of that) was a thing.

Finished the series. That was surprisingly excellent. The dub wasn't bad, the characters didn't annoy the shit out of me, and Mako's voice in the English dub was hysterical.

Huh. Maybe I should leave the safety of my Battlemech.

This is not a 10/10 anime.

Well I'm convinced

I'm the one yet to be convinced if anything.

If this site doesn't want to categorize their reviews per author, then it's going to look all the more jarring to see Girls und Panzer with the same score as Princess Mononoke and Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

First of all, it DOES categorize by author if you click on the "Reviewer" label, same as it does if you click on the "Name", "Rating", or "Format" labels.

Second of all, jarring for whom?
