"Website disabled"/Yes, this is a stupid question
« on: December 13, 2013, 10:34:19 PM »
Yes, I realize that probably most people here haven't been on AA (Anime Academy) for a while (if at all), but how long has it been "disabled"?

Yeah, I live under a rock and have no life...

Cheers.

When in doubt, speak Italian and sing "Seven Nation Army"

Don't know, but that site had been going downhill for years.  Oddly enough, right around the time they banned my ass, they declined.  I'm not going to say it was because of me but.. it was because of me.  No, not really, but I imagine that the "drama" didn't help things.  Nothing kills a good buzz like a bunch of people getting too damned serious about forum participation.

Anyway, Corpse would be the guy to ask, if you can still get a hold of him.

PS, good to see you!  Been ages!

@TIF: You did bring a whole website down with your absence... be proud of it.

@GS: Nice to meet you again. I haven't been there for ages, and to be honest, I don't quite miss the place that day. One thing I felt about the site is that the members generally don't keep up with the latest anime because of some general consensus that the older anime will always be better than the new ones. Hence, I hopped on the NHRV bandwagon.

Hope you stay around~

It's been disabled for about 2 weeks now. I still have it in my bookmarks and go there regularly even though I hardly ever post. Nostalgia I guess.

Yo, sup.  Been a while.

I recommend Mobile Suit, RX-0 and Unicorn from the Unicorn OST.

Yeah I was kinda curious myself, while I did enjoy AA for introducing me to older shows that I never got to check out, it hasn't been the same for several years.  It was a fun website with some nostalgia, but that's all gone now, hopefully I can contribute somewhat here.

I was banned for hating emo people posting emo shit on AA, and to this day I refuse to apologize for that.  **** your emo-shit emo-kids.  The irony in being a ****ing emo-wuss is that you think nobody understands or likes you, and you somehow found a way to express yourselves in a way that makes people not liking you or understanding you worse.  Good job, ****ers.

Anyway, If I recall correctly, form what I heard from some of the mods, you were likewise banned as a compromise.  Basically, the mods were split on whether to ban my ass, and some of the guys who supported me whined that you would be left around doing the same shit I was doing, so they argued you needed to go as well, and blammo.  Sorry, looks like I inadvertently took two of us down.  Usually I just get banned myself.  So, I might actually be kind of proud of that, in a weird way.

Also, hilarious, but your post count just became an overused and not-funny meme.
