I don't see the point of shorts like these, the first episode was fairly amusing, the second wasn't really. Seriously, why do they bother with this? You can't get anything done in 3:30 (though with the ED it's more like 2:40).

I actually think that the scope of the jokes are narrow enough for these three-minute shorts to work better than actual full-length episodes; twenty minutes of them pulling more or less the same gags over and over would be extremely repetitive, and it's pretty much assured that the jokes will get stale with a little time. That still doesn't justify this project, but I suppose a three-minute commitment isn't nearly as bad as a twenty-minute commitment when it comes to something like this.

Reading the synopsis for the show, I didn't realize this was SUPPOSED to be a comedy.  I thought they were actually going to explore the real genetic condition that these two characters demonstrate, not just use it for cheap gags.

Tho, that first episode was legitimately funny.

I laughed at this! It was cute! I sort of wish it was longer, I think it'd get old fast if it was 20 minute episodes. I don't think I'll follow this intensely, but if I'm bored it'd be fun to watch an episode or two.

I only counted a couple of jokes here and both kind of fell flat.  The first one seems to be sort of poking fun at dwarfism (milk!) while the second one was too subtle (he's tall, so she takes him shopping to reach the top shelf, that's why she says she loves him like he is, see she's exploiting him... ITS FUNNY DAMMIT!).

This really needs to not be a comedy.  And 22 minutes long per ep.  I would love to see Japan tackle this genetic disorder without making light of it.  Can you imagine what that kid actually has to go through?  Both of them, really.  Especially in the not exactly tolerant or accepting of differences and disorders Japan?  S'not funny.

I know they made  light of him being arrested, but that'd be a serious issue, I'm sure that the police would have got a picture of him by now to remind them that he's actually a young boy. Would he bullied? Possibly, a few stupid kids might try it, are older girls attracted to him? Yes, but couldn't that create some complicated issues? Can you imagine a girl going going to court because she thought he was an adult man (which would be perfectly reasonable) and tried to get it on with him, thus making them technically a pedophile?

You're right TIF, they're really missing the possibilities here.

Haven't updated this since 2, and with good reason.  Trying to give a shit about Recorder + Randsell is pretty tough.  Not sure I can even use this for the weekly rant, since it's too short.  Since 9 wasn't even remotely funny, I'm not sure what the point to it is anymore.

It's over and ... **** it, I don't give a shit. I woouldn't say it was bad, but it was just pointless. Completely and utterly. So, between a 3 and a 2... a 2, because it was just so ****ing pointless. Not only that, but it replayed the same ****ing joke of him being mistaken as a pedophile over and over, which was funny the first 3 times, but after that...

Thanks god they didn't have the pedophile joke again. The second joke was hard to get. I don't see why they changed the ED  or why they even bothered with this.

My anime soul will not be beaten by bad anime so easily. Anyway, despite how much Recorder to Randoseru sucks, because of it's length it's very bearable.

Also, regarding Symphogear, it's not as if I hated the show that much... it's just that I thought it was one of the worst executed anime I've seen for ages, and I enjoy pointing out the amount of ridiculous ways in which it was stupid. Indeed, I enjoyed it so much that I decided to write a review on MAL about it. I gave it a 3, and was therefore surprised when that it managed to do as well as it did, since I find the people of MAL generally don't even use the numbers 1-5, and also because it was written quite poorly since 1) I took a lot straight from my rant here, and 2) I didn't even check through it. For some reason I feel proud of my ranting efforts.

You're just now at 11?  I'm on 23, and... while this show sucks balls... I have to admit I'm proud of them.  For a whole 9 episodes they didn't do a "Atsushi is mistaken for a pedophile and gets arrested" joke.  In fact, they've only done it once in the second "half" so far.

I'm on 23, but it's technically episode 11 of the second series. MAL says so. I am similarly surprised that they haven't done that gag.

I gave it a 2 much like the first series, though it was slightly better so I was more inclined to give it a 3. But it was still a utterly pointless show that repeated the same gag over and over even though it was so short.
