This episode would've been a lot better if it had focused on the Andou-Momoko issue. It's only because it's a down-to-earth topic that 30-year old virgins will encounter in one way or another when they get into a relationship i.e. the concept of sacrifice. I'm ambivalent as to which party is right in this debate: Andou has every right to be outraged at the blow-up doll and her argument is sound too, but I can also understand Imagawa's plight because, like he said, Momoko is Momoko and Andou is Andou.

It's like my girlfriend wanting me to throw out my entire porn stash, which I then can imagine myself saying that porn is porn and the girls inside them aren't my girlfriend at the end of the day. In this debate, the best (and most difficult to achieve) answer is compromise but yeah, if only the solution is that easy to do.

And it's no coincidence that the gods/goddesses are out cold this time round; it's a red herring concerning how it's about time the two 30-year old couple should start solving problems by themselves. It's a step up towards improvement, so good for them.

It can be so gross yet funny at the same time. Sometimes though it's just too gross. This show permanently lives by that line, and so it crosses it quite often.

Well, the solution to that problem is to hide your porn better... Create an elaborate set-up like Light did for his Death Note, but for your porn stash instead. Problem solved. There are no weaknesses to this plan at all... Unless you get caught... And then there's living with the outright lie you told your girlfriend... There's the betrayal of trust... Apart from those tiny things, a fail-proof plan.

That was weird.

Just what the f**k is up with the Superintendent and his Road to Virginity? I don't get it and I never have.

Well, that was sweet.

My thoughts on 30-sai:

It's a likable show. It knows what it wants to be: a light-hearted comedy that teaches a thing or two the steps to getting laid. It's lulzy for most parts but what I like about 30-sai is how it doesn't take itself seriously to the point that the drama overshadows the show's purpose. All the characters are likable too: Imagawa is likable (which I would thank Shimono Hiro for providing seiyuu work that's far better than TWOGK IMHO), his gods are wonderful, and heck, I'm not even disturbed by the occasionally nekked shota Macaron and his cross-dressing ways. That, and how the episodes are perfectly timed; had it been the conventional +20 minutes length, it would've been tiresome to watch.

It's a 5/10. It's not that bad, but anything but special. Plus the show suffered from that Superintendent and his virginity road trip, which is something I just don't understand.

Finally got round to seeing it. It was a surprisingly bitter-sweet ending, with the god's exiting without a proper goodbye. I thought that was quite sad, but as AC said, it was still quite a sweet affair, especially after the ending credits.

I'd give this show a 5 also, because although it was amusing and all, I feel rather indifferent about it. There were some particularly gross bits as well that I wish I hadn't seen, but it's mainly the fact that I didn't really care much about it.

I hope the start of the summer season goes well.
