Zeni Geba

Anyone check out this title?

I've been pulling a blitzkrieg through all the jdrama sites I know, racking up series for yet another voyage to the sandbox, when this one caught my eye.  I decided to check out the first episode (the star being Matsuyama Kenichi, of L from Death Note fame, squeee).

And the main character is freakin' insane.  Oh, sure, they give plenty of backstory to make him sympathetic, and I have the feeling that the rest of the series will be designed around bringing him back into the realm of the humane, but damn.  He really is crazy.  I prefer my protagonists slightly off-kilter, to be sure, and definitely not goody-two-shoes, but wow.  Apparently Matsuyama won an award for the role, and I believe it.  He does a good job of bringing the crazy out, no doubt helped by much practice from when he was playing the eccentric L.

So yeah, this series should be interesting.

Kinami Haruka and Mimura are the two girls, but after one episode I'm not sure which one he's "supposed" to end up with.

And you gotta love the flow charts that every single j-drama series has.  They're actually kind of hilarious to look at, IMO.
