Title: Oyasumi Punpun

Anyone ever read this?

Recommended to me by a friend and found myself blazing through the chapters. The detailed art and (delightfully?) morbid story-telling with a surprisingly realistic set up makes for a compelling read. Hope that some of you could find time to check it out.

It might be the best pure psychological manga you could ever read (unless we count monster).

That being said I really should have waited for it to be over because the wait is killer for new translations.

I tried reading it, but I was really thrown off by the first few chapters and didn't go back

Is it really worth it? What happens?

Ok the beginning is boring, I'll give you that. I also was a bit weary of it.

Read a little more, but it does go into some pretty dark territory (near rape, murder, cheating, adultery, etc).

Basically it's about Punpun and his miserable miserable life. Though it just might not be your thing. I like the interesting approach the author takes and how he actually treats it like a manga (rather than other manga artists who don't know how to properly pace things).
