I believe that very few people will disagree with me when I say that we have experienced a very lackluster year of anime.  There have been few breakout hits, and even worse, there seems to be fewer and fewer quality arthouse titles.  Though I didn’t expect Stan Lee‘s involvement to revolutionize anything, I thought it could result in more interest in the medium.  Such a shame that Heroman has turned out to be a dud.  On the shoujo side of things, the medium continues to limp along without a hit in such a long time that it has started looking at maid cafes for inspiration.  The question I have is “is Kaichou wa Maid-sama! really the best you can do?”
