A little while ago Funimation announced that they had licensed Is This a Zombie? and there was much chagrin throughout the internet because it was seen as just another fanservice comedy that was eating away money that could have been used for a better show.  To all you who are misinformed, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? is quite enjoyable despite lacking an original bone in its dead body.

Perhaps, Mouryou no Hako deserved the money more, but let’s be honest, when has anime mysteries sold well?  Besides, the rather slow and serious demeaner of the series will find few paying fans.
