There’s been a mini resurgence in visual novel conversions which have employed the omnibus format, lead by Amagami SS.  That particular anime executes it rather poorly, using it as a limp cop-out to give every girl a chance to “win”.  Yosuga no Sora is a slightly better attempt at the format but, according to Ascaloth, it’s hurt by bland melodrama and too much trashiness.
