What’s for Dinner?

Tonight, as I type this update with one hand, I stir a giant pot of curry with the other. I love me some Japanese-style curry to eat while I watch anime, and now that I think of it, cooking has a lot in common with anime adaptions. First of all, we all take recipes from others. And when we try to add our own touch to them, sometimes they come out absolutely great. This happened recently in the anime world with the case of Steins;Gate, a stone-cold killer of an anime adapted from a visual novel by Nitro+. As Ascaloth will tell you, it’s definitely a must watch.

There are, however, times when your cooking goes awry and the result is something less than edible. AC presents us with an anime adaption which has gone horribly wrong: Blade. Even if you’re a fan of Marvel, you might want to be wary. (Just like how I’m afraid of the fried chicken my mom makes… Wonder where she got that recipe.)

hahaha! I’m sure your mother’s cooking is great!!

Btw can you recommend any websites with Japanese recipes on? :-)

I usually eat pork-fried Ramen (one of Naruto’s favourites)

In fact I love most of the anime food out there!

Ohhh you’ve just given me a good idea!! I might try and collaborate a list of anime food recepies for the hard-core anime fans out there (like me and you)
