A Bundle Full of Heart Failure

So, have any of you experienced the joy of parenthood? Have you lived through the 2 AM emergencies, the future ulcers and problems that you’d never imagine could possibly occur? Well, Usagi Drop dulls (without trivializing) the stresses of raising a child and portrays the more heartwarming aspects of becoming a parent.

In contrast, Hanasaku Iroha starts off with a far darker approach with a parent effectively abandoning her teenage daughter. Good thing that the protagonist finds the strength in herself to find the proverbial glass half full.
